The AIHE’S Research Center was established in 2014. In addition to compiling textbooks and specialized books, conducting scientific and research seminars, holding scientific lectures and academic meetings with foreign guests and scientists, the center also publishes a scientific-research quarterly under the title “Diplomacy and International Studies”.
Brief tour to the AIHE
Achieving a pivotal position for the AIHE in the national and regional level, providing academic services to the citizens of the country and training the future expert and professional generation are the long-term goals of this institution.
Investing on infrastructures and through teaching, research and service delivery, the AIHE would play an active and influential role in educating professional decision makers, committed policymakers and creative entrepreneurs for the country.

Transformation of knowledge, transformation of Afghanistan
The Afghanistan Institute of Higher Education has set three broad goals in its field of activities:
1- Education and teaching;
3- Professional training.
In order to achieve the first goal, the University of Afghanistan conducting several under-graduate courses including Law, International Relations and Diplomacy, and Development Studies as well as post graduate courses in the field of International Relations.
To fulfill the second goal, Afghanistan University has a research center with extensive programs in the field of writing, research and translation. So far the center has many clear and useful accomplishments and achievements.
To accomplish the third goal, the University of Afghanistan has Professional Training Institute (PDI) and Professional Development Center (PDC) which have useful programs to enhance the capacity of staff and faculty, as well as provide educational-applied services to students.
