Regional Studies, despite its importance, has the least publication globally; this especially is truer in Persian. The book “Fundamentals of Regional Studies in International Relations” is a textbook written for the BA and MA classes and all other think tanks for regional studies. It gives an insight into how Regional Studies was shaped as a discipline, what are the nature and significances of the regional studies, what are the potential and pitfalls of the subject, and how different traditional approaches in IR look upon the concept. The book also discusses the concept “Region of Afghanistan” and conceptualizes a new terminology to strategize Afghanistan’s location among four different regions.
